What is Dermapen?

How Dermapen Works

The dermal pen is a device that is used for dermal micro-needling, derma rolling or derma pen. It uses several different needles that can be rotated and penetrate the skin to a depth of 2mm, creating hundreds of micro-injuries in the process. This creates an inflammatory response from the body that stimulates collagen production, increases fibroblast activity, and the dermapen promotes healthy cell turnover.

Side Effects

The side effects of DermaPen can be mild.

Pain at the treatment site is common, and it’s important to give your skin some time to calm down after the procedure for a few days. Your skin might have a pink or red hue that will fade with time, which is also normal. The following conditions may also occur:

• A bruised look to the skin
• Minor bleeding
• Increased sensitivity around the treatment site
• Redness after the procedure.

How many treatments will I need?
