What is Restylane Skin Booster

My Restylane Skin Booster Treatment is a cosmetic filler injection procedure that can help to restore volume and replace lost elasticity in the skin.  It’s also known as “liquid facelift”. A Restylane injection makes visible wrinkles less noticeable, and it helps to reduce or remove laugh lines. The goal of the Restylane Booster is to make your face look younger and lifted while hydrating your skin from within to slow down the onset of ageing. 

How does it work?

I inject the dermal filler just below the surface of your skin using small needles that penetrate about half an inch into the tissue. A Restylane injectable is composed of hyaluronic acid  which is a natural substance found in the body – that acts as an excellent filler material. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the spaces between the cells that make up tissue. It helps to keep skin looking soft and smooth by holding onto water molecules, giving your skin a plump and hydrated appearance. 

As we age, our levels of hyaluronic acid start to decrease, causing our facial features to look sunken or deflated. That’s how Restylane can help! A Restylane Skinbooster can effectively improve the appearance of ageing features and it also helps to lift sagging jowls, necks and brows.

The Procedure 

You arrive at your procedure with me Dr NIRDOSH and I inject the the filler directly into your face with a needle into into shallow saggy parts of your face that has lost volume, once I have established this is the most suitable filler for you and not another such as Juvederm. Once injected, the Restylane filler acts as a cushion between your inner skin layers to restore fullness and volume to your face and is often used in conjunction with your BOTOX Cosmetic injection treatment (botulinum toxin) for optimal results, should you be having this as well. 

How long does a Restylane filler last?

Depending on the area of your face that is being treated, results may be visible for 6 months to 1 year. For optimal results, we recommend that you have follow-up treatments after this period. These can be spaced out at least 6 months apart.

Is Restylane Skinbooster Safe?

Some people are worried about undergoing Restylane Skinbooster injections, as there is a small risk of infection and bruising from the needles. However, the risk is hugely low – less than 0.5%. As with any medical procedure, it’s important to follow our aftercare instructions carefully to minimise the any potential side effects.

As with all other types of facial fillers, we only use FDA approved fillers at Dr Nirdosh Dubai and the Restylane undergoes a series of clinical trials before it is approved for use on humans. After its safety was established in these trials, it was put through additional safety and effectiveness tests before it could be made available to the public. 

Restylane became available in the US and Canada in 2004, after passing required tests for safety and effectiveness. A few years later it entered into Europe where it has been approved by the European Commission and is now legally available to be used on patients there as a treatment for facial aging issues.
